800 Horses and a Train Horn!🏴☠️
We love all things a
old school, can’t get cooler than family feeding lambs with oxen!
Our family got our passion for training horses from our beloved father who has recently passed and we will keep the tradition going.
Rare is the shepherd that wouldn’t trade a man for a good dog.
We are aiming for a large dog that is gentle with sheep and lambs, can be trusted with young children, but is strong and aggressive enough for large predators. It’s a work in progress, but the result is worth the effort. (We currently run Anatolians and Pyrenees)
All made from home, from: shearing, sorting, scouring, dyeing, carding, spinning, and weaving!.
We truly enjoy working livestock, caring for the land, and working with people who appreciate stewardship. We are truly grateful for the opportunity and blessing God has given us.
We are serious about stewardship, and part of that is leaving the land better than we found it. To that extent we utilize Holistic Management and are a hub for the Savory Institute, we manage grasslands across the midwest extensively and provide consulting services to clients and industry partners.

Few people today want to spend summers alone in the mountains with several thousand sheep. But we believe that with enough time and effort we can have many of the same outcomes while maintaining the company of friends and family.
Grass is our most efficient resource, and we strive to optimize its harvest and replenishment. Utilizing tools like managed grazing we have improved metrics such as organic matter by up to four times in less than six years!
We genuinely enjoy old school and are committed to keeping as many traditional skillsets alive and thriving as possible.
